17 weeks in and Im not as fat as I was

9 pounds in 17 weeks! No pills & it was 100 percent natural. I can’t say it was easy, but it wasn’t hard. With the Ironman only 9 months away, how much farther can I go and still be healthy? The good news is that Im doing this with the help of a nutritionist and coach. No, Im not just starving myself to death. Im actually eating pretty good. I can’t say I don’t miss the old meals, but i do seem to feel guilty when I do the occasional cheat (I had 26 M&M’s on Saturday).

The first challenge and test of fitness will be this weekend at the Detroit Half Marathon. Even though I messed up the ankle and lost 6-8 weeks of running, I feel confident that the swim and bike training will get me through the 13.1 miles. It would be nice if I can run a sub 1:40. Im hoping that this will be the start of a healthy Winter of running.

Now it’s going to get tough to lose weight with the Holidays approaching, not to mention that Winter is not as easy to do long training days when the temps and weather doesn’t play nice.

Kelly and I are constantly battling each other for our biggest loser contest. She has been kicking my butt, but I think she will crack soon.

Man, I miss McDonalds
